Introducing Practice Nurse online – our brand new website

Posted 4 Jun 2025

Editor in Chief Beverley Bostock and I are thrilled to announce that Practice Nurse’s new website launches this week (30 May 2025). We are delighted with the way it looks and works, and hope that you will be too.

We’ve kept all our great content, but it is now displayed in a much more visual, and easier to access, format. So from demonstrating your continuing professional development with Practice Nurse Learning, to catching up on the latest news, or tracking down that article from our back catalogue that you want to re-read, it’s all there.

Articles – and CPD modules – are now listed by therapy area, so if you want to read or learn something about asthma or cardiovascular disease, all you have to do is to pick that category and you will see everything that we have written on that topic.

We have still got our useful series, Guidelines in a Nutshell, where we aim to bring you a summary of important national and international guidelines as soon as possible after they are published – often within days.

A new feature, and one which we are sure that you will find particularly useful, is that you can now search our sister site, GPnotebook – a website that helps busy primary care professionals by providing easy access to reliable, concise information to support clinical decision-making: just click on the tab on the menu bar, and thousands of regularly updated and authoritative resources will be at your fingertips.

For the time being, all our content will be open access, but you will have to register to use practicenurse.co.uk – even if you are a subscriber. It should only take a couple of minutes, and you will be able to create a password that you can remember.

Coming soon, we will be offering video content and podcasts – just watch this space!

Also coming soon will be regular e-newsletters from Practice Nurse. Please sign up to receive our latest news, so we can let you know what is coming up in the journal, and what’s new online.

Visit the site and register now to find the latest news, clinical updates, bite-sized learning as well as the latest guidelines and CPD learning modules.

As Bev says in her welcome video, we like to think that Practice Nurse has always been ahead of its time, but now we are going to have a website that reflects that as well.
