Educational resources for practice nurses

General practice nurses can now access a range of strictly non-promotional training and educational resources around type 2 diabetes and asthma, developed by Napp Pharmaceuticals in association with Practice Nurse, GPnotebook and The BMJ.

The resource is aimed at all healthcare professionals involved in the management of patients with type 2 diabetes and/or asthma, and has been developed to offer training and support to improve knowledge and services.

The Napp Academy offers independently written CPD modules, and a selection of journal articles and guideline summaries. You will also find a ‘library’ of clinical papers and resources, such as the National Review of Asthma Deaths report, and the ADA/EASD consensus report on the management of hyperglycaemia in type 2 diabetes, presented as an easy to digest infographic.

The site also offers a number of external courses and training opportunities. A Napp Academy bursary may be available for candidates who meet the criteria for diplomas and degree modules provided by Education for Health in diabetes, asthma and spirometry.
